I’m interested in making transparent the complex issues that necessarily arise when historical materials are deployed in curatorial projects, and engaging with curators and the public around these issues.

Wendy Scheir directs The New School Archives and Special Collections, which documents the history of all divisions of The New School, and collects and makes available primary source materials in subjects reflecting and supporting scholarship across the school. The archives conducts workshops in primary source research and aspects of archival practice, welcomes researchers at all levels, and supports and produces exhibitions and public programs. In 2013, the archives launched a digital collections site, making some 6,000 items from its collections searchable online.
