As an interdisciplinary collaboration, Against All Odds explored ways that architects, artists and designers are devising innovative aesthetic strategies to tackle ecological, social and economic crises within their local environments. The project manifested in an academic conference featuring talks by Parsons faculty members Lydia Matthews and Jilly Traganou, an intensive workshop between graduate students from Parsons and their Greek counterparts from the The National Technical University in Athens and the Athens School of Fine Arts, and a culminating exhibition at the Benaki Museum Annex in Athens, which highlighted the outcome of the educational workshops as well as works by a range of international artists and designers.
