(re)Collection looks at the daily lives of art objects and examines the role of an art collection within a university setting. The exhibit will showcase newly acquired work, expose works rarely seen due to fragility, scale or subject matter, and début a newly restored mural from the 1930s. By making the unseen process of managing an art collection transparent, this exhibition will investigate the larger question of institutional memory, legacy, and identity. Included in the exhibition are works by Larry Bell, Clegg and Guttman, Camilo Egas, Shirin Neshat, Roxy Paine, Peter Saul, Richard Tuttle, and Carrie Mae Weems.
