The renowned M.A. degree program formerly named “The History of Decorative Arts and Designed” has sharpened its focus and taken a new name that more closely aligns it with Lab activities and conversations: The History of Design and Curatorial Studies.” Jointly administered by Parsons School of Design and the Cooper Hewitt/Smithsonian Design Museum in NYC, the newly revamped program is now offered on both the New York campus and the Parsons Paris campus. Graduates are trained to pursue careers as historians, curators, and scholars in museums, universities, historic houses, auction houses, and galleries.
